Successful Face Transplants Performed

Two workforce have undergone face transplants -- unmatched after being attacked by
a bear and another after hurt from a large facial tumor -- and
they have indicated promising results. These cases indicate that the
procedure might be used more than regularly for long-term restoration of
facial disfigurement, and are described in deuce articles released in The
Lancet on August 22, 2008 describe face transplants that were

Organ transplants can contain on many forms. In a process called an

intervention regimen. As of one year of followup, the patient's sensation
and motor function had returned in the transplant region, and the
patient showed first-class psychological recovery and societal
reintegration. He was able to begin working wide time 13 months afterward
the surgical procedure.


The authors conclude that this procedure also shows promise for future
facial transplants: "Our case confirms that face transplantation is
surgically feasible and effective for the correction of specific
disfigurement, due in this caseful to a genetic disorder...Long-term
follow-up is needed to appraise the risks linked to the immunogenicity of
allogenic composite tissues, particularly as regards life expectancy.
Following this initial success, other patients are presently being
assessed."


Dr Jean-Michel Dubernard, E Herriot University Lyon I Hospital, France,
and Dr Bernand Devauchelle, Amiens-Nord University Hospital, Amiens,
France, contributed an resultant comment on both articles, stating
that by collaborating, the teams developing these operations could make
capital strides "to answer the many technical, functional, immunologic,
and psychological questions raised by face transplantation." They
conclude that other types of conditions that may indicate transplant

benefit from this cooperation. The International Registry on Hand and
Composite Tissue Transplantation would be an idealistic forum to help resolve

give back a normal living to disfigured patients."

Missy Elliot Influenced By UK Hip-Hop On New Album

US hip-hop star Missy Elliot has revealed that her new album, entitled 'Block Party', will be released in August.



The record, Elliot's first since 2005's 'The Cookbook', features production from Pharrell Williams, T-Pain and Timberland.



Speaking to Billboard about the record, Elliot said that the album was “more musical and melodic” than her previous releases.



“A lot of my albums are really hip-hop-driven, with tinges of other music genres. But this album is hip-hop, with a sort of U.K. hip-hop sound to it,” she said.



Elliot also spoke about the influence of Timbaland on her career – comparing their relationship to the one once shard between Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones.



"People always ask if we're still working together, and the answer is we will always work together," Elliott said.



"He's always going to be involved, even if it is just on one record. That's my brother. I respect and honour what he says."

Sylvester Stallone is considering scripts for further sequels in his 'Rocky' and 'Rambo' franchises, despite vowing never to revive either of the legendary characters again.
The action star has signed a multimillion dollar deal to direct and star in two new action films, which may feature his two best known characters.
The actor will again link-up with 'Rambo' producers Danny Dimbort, Avi Lerner and Trevor Short of Nu Image/Millennium Films following the success of his recent films 'John Rambo' and 'Rocky Balboa'.
He told the Hollywood Reporter: "The past year and a half of working with Avi, his partners Danny and Trevor and his film family has been nothing but a high point for me and my career and an extremely rewarding experience. Avi is a real gentleman and a man of his word."
Stallone's 2006 film 'Rocky Balboa' grossed $70m, while the fourth instalment in the 'Rambo' franchise took $18.2m in its opening weekend in the US last month.
The 61-year-old is also separately working on a remake of the 1974 vigilante drama 'Death Wish'.
